The sixth form students have spent the last 7 months making applications to universities around the world and we have had some fantastic offers from many universities in the US and UK, in addition, we also have offers from Sweden, Florence, Milan, Cyprus and Canada. This has been an exciting and busy period for our students making sure that their personal applications made them stand out from the crowd and be accepted.
In Qatar, we are getting those from in the Qatar Foundation universities and we are pleased to report that Northwestern our most popular university choice has offered places to Nine of our students. We are particularly pleased that this also includes students who have achieved the BTEC qualifications.
Since last year Georgetown has increased their entrance criterion which has made it harder for our students to be accepted however I am pleased to report they have offered places to four of our students and waiting list to one. We have had two offers from Virginia Commonwealth University, which is the majority of the students who applied.
We are still waiting to hear from Texas A and M, Weill Cornell, and Carnegie Mellon. We should see some success from then. In addition, there are offers from Academic Bridge program for those needing to further continue academic study to get into the universities. We have had many other offers for our students from around the world and our three aspiring medics have all been offered places at the Royal College of Surgeons Ireland (Bahrain Campus).
Its an exciting time for our students and they are getting ready to sit their final exams we wish them every success in those exams and in their future studies.
