The Gulf English School has been commended for being one of the top schools in Qatar for the number of applications, and successful offers, to study at Virginia Commonwealth University, Qatar (VCU).

This year, our students started their applications early so as to ensure that they completed the applications to the highest possible standard. In addition, they have been actively attending art classes, outside of school time, at VCU to enhance their applications. Our students would not have this success without the amazing support of our Art Department, who work tirelessly to support the students with their art portfolios.
It demonstrates the importance of our students attending classes and courses offered by the universities as this encourages and develops their understanding of higher education study. All the major universities in Qatar are offering summer schools and now is the time for our students in Years 10 and 11 to consider attending these programmes and becoming our next group of successful applicants.
