The Gulf English School (GES) recently announced that it has joined hands with Qatar Golf Association (QGA). The aim of this collaboration is to identify potential talented golfers who could one day go on to represent Qatar at Golf internationally.
On 20th October, the QGA conducted a presentation to GES' students, thereby marking the beginning of this journey. The presentation was delivered to boys and girls in year groups 5,6 and 7.
“Aided by visual presentation, the Qatar Golf Association showcased their way of identifying strengths and weaknesses, and improving the chances of developing talents among the student community. The students really enjoyed the presentation,” said Mr. Geoffrey Vaughan, Director of Studies at GES.
Golf is historically considered to be an honourable game, the idea of a game where a participant is more disciplined. The aspects of etiquette within the game mirror that of the way people should act in everyday life, with respect and concern for others. So, the moral core of golf will resonate throughout the child's entire life. This unquestionably makes golf, the greatest game in the world.
