On the 12th February, the pupils and staff began a month with a focus on reading. We are now half way through the month and we are pleased to report that the initiative is going well. Many children are reading much more than before – at school and at home, as together we try to read for a million minutes. So far the staff and pupils in Infants have read for 135548 minutes, Juniors for 114165 minutes and Secondary for 20,277 minutes.
From 19th to the 23rd of February, we were entertained and inspired by visiting authors: Chris White, Saleh Ghareeb and Mohana. Parents have also been invited to come into the school and join in the fun by reading with their children at the Reading Coffee Mornings. We appreciate everyone’s support as we continue to read our way to a Million Minutes.
